Every time you praise something, every time you appreciate something, every time you feel good about something, you are telling the Universe, "More of this, please. More of this, please." You need never again make another verbal statement of this intent, and if you were allowing your cork to float -- all good things would flow to you.

In her recent post, Give Others the Opportunity to Help You on Women on Business, Bonnie Marcus writes about giving a workshop on Promoting Your Brand to Rhode Island Networking to Open Doors to Jobs.  Bonnie relates how everyone was interactive and helpful with the women who were focused on their target market; however, there was one woman there who was in "limbo" and didn't know what she wanted going forward.  Her needs were met with silence.  At the end of the articles, Bonnie advises, "If you are looking for new employment, be clear about what type of company you want to work for and what kind of position you are seeking."

Who needs help more than the woman in limbo?  The woman who feels confused?  Lost?  Unsure?  My reaction is from my own sensitivity to feeling in limbo and it's from my experience in being helped and helping others find clarity.

I need help when I don't feel confident; when I don't know what I want; when I feel confused.  The questions is, "can I be honest about where I'm at and what I'm feeling?"  I've been in that state for months.  Even now clarity is elusive so I've asked for help from professional coaches and consultants.

At first, I felt full of financial fear and desperate to find a job.  I began applying for every position that I thought I could do.  After a couple of weeks of anxious activity, I slowed down.  The key was that I was looking for a "job", not a "career".  I didn't need a huge salary; just enough to live.  I needed something to do for my mental health while I waited for my massage therapy license to be transferred from state-to-state and stabilized enough to refocus on my life coaching business.  I wanted structure and an opportunity to connect with other people so I could reconnect with myself.  The solution was to apply only to companies whose products I loved:  Starbucks, Whole Foods, Panera Bread and White House Black Market.

I look at this time of "limbo" in my life as research for finding focus and clarity once again.  Rather than looking for the answer to the "big problems" before me, I looked for the next step in that process.  What do I need right here, right now?  What's next?

What do you think? What do you do when you feel like you're in "limbo"? How do you help someone who feels that way?

It doesn't matter what anybody else is doing with their vibration, it only matters what you are doing. You cannot desire something—and notice that it isn't coming—without offering two contradictory vibrations that won't let it come.

People say, "The joy is in the journey," but they rarely understand what they are saying. You are in this focused time/space reality with goals and objectives that call you because as you identify a desire it literally summons life through you. Life summoning through you is what it's all about --it's not the completion of anything.

The Courage to Change

After a long period of disharmony and sleepless nights, I heard a small voice in my mind say, "Pixie, what would you say to a client?  What would you do if you weren't afraid?"

My truth was, "I would go."

As my heart was breaking on the 3rd day of traveling, I received this message from Tut - Notes from the Universe:

"Thanks, Pixie, for every single time you've fallen in love.  Whether or not it was obvious.  Whether or not it lasted.  And, whether or not you were loved back.  It changed everything."

So here I am over 2000 miles from the farm that I loved, friends, family, . . . Dharma and I arrived last night.  Last night was the first time I've slept more than 4 hours in months.  Within 24 hours of being on the road, my neck, back & shoulders stopped hurting.

My husband & I are friendlier to each other now that we're apart.  Yesterday I meditated on what I could do to be unconditionally loving in this situation.  By the end of the day, the voice said "The most loving thing you can do for you and for him is to let go absolutely."

When I stay focused and don't make up stories, assess blame, and find freedom from judgment & criticism, my truth is that I want to be here in Washington State.  Maybe all the events from the moment that became my intention to now were synchronistic leading to this manifestation.  Viewing everything from that perspective, there is no blame.

Last night after we arrived, Dharma was introduced to her new friends.  She loves Michele and warmed up to Jim quickly after he allowed her to lick his plate.  Michele's cat, Tasha, isn't too crazy about Dharma but we're hopeful that she'll adapt.

Living in Accordance with Dharma

Jim did the loveliest thing.  He looked up the meaning of Dharma and found this on Wikipedia:

". . . an Indian spiritual and religious term that means one's righteous duty, or any virtuous path.[1][2] A Hindu's dharma is affected by a person's age, class, occupation, and gender.[3] In Indian languages it can be equivalent simply to
religion, depending on context. The word dharma translates as that which upholds or supports, and is generally translated into English as law. . . . beings that live in accordance with Dharma proceed more quickly toward . . .  nirvana . . . "

We all laughed and went on a riff about how we all had to live in accordance with Dharma by giving her scraps, playing with her, letting her lick the plate so we would reach nirvana quickly.

Crystal Lake

Dharma & I went outside and reviewed the boundaries of her yard and took photos to share this experience with you.  She played along the beach in front of the house and explored the dock.  We played tag joyfully.  For a moment, I stopped to bend down and hug her neck.  Tears welled up in my eyes as my heart swelled with a mixture of joy and sadness.

Dharma is at home wherever I am.  I am at home in the Universe.

Are you holding onto the past so tightly that you cannot move into your now?

The Universe loves symbolism.  It loves when we stand with our arms open wide to embrace all the goodness it has to offer.  It love when we smile, when we clean our closets . . .

Today I symbolically burned some old legal documents.  Relics from my past evidencing an time of extreme unmanageability.  The documents included custody battles, visitation battles, divorce decrees (yes, decreeS), and restraining orders.  The time has past when I need them to prove my innocence or use then to manipulate another person's behavior.

As I watched them burn in the fire, a huge sense of freedom came over me.  All that seemed so important then to fight about in court seems trivial and nonsensical today.  Today I stand free of the past.

What are you holding on to that you could symbolically let go?  A hurtful letter or email?  A voicemail full of criticism that you listen to over an over again?  Would today be a good day to be free of the past?

"The Universe does not know if the vibration you are offering is because of what you are imagining, or because of what you are observing. In either case, it is responding. Emotion is your guidance or your response to your vibration. Your emotion does not create. Emotion is your indicator of what you are already creating. As you think, you vibrate. And it is your vibrational offering that equals your point of attraction. So, what you are thinking and what is coming back to you is always a vibrational match. The emotion (your Guidance System) is telling you what's coming."

Have you ever felt lost?  Alone and confused?  Not knowing what your next step should be?  We all have those moments of despair - even me.

In the moments of my deepest longing and despair, I am not shy about asking for miracles and more importantly expecting to receive them.  Miracles may seem like a lofty request, but they're not.  They happen when we get out of our heads and into a space of awareness to receive them.

My miracles aren't burning bushes or the parting of deep seas.  My miracles are subtle signs, messages, chance encounters, an intuitive thought, or a change in perception that allows me to reframe my perspective.

I've been asking for miracles lately. Today they appeared.

The first miracle was a message in one of the meditation books I read each morning:  "We can believe that nothing is impossible in human relationships, if we depend on the help of [the Universe]."

The second miracle was in the Buckeye Honda women's restroom.  I washed my hands and turned around to open the door.  There on the back of the door was a coat hook in the shape of a dragonfly.  Yes, a dragonfly!  Those who know me well and who have known me long also know that dragonflies are big magic in my life.  Every time they appear in any form, the energy will shift around me and change will take place.

The weekend before I went out with my husband for the first time, I sat down at a table where very single one of the women sitting there had a dragonfly motif somewhere on her clothing, purse, jacket . . .  I silently said to the Universe, "Bring it."

Today I stared at the dragonfly hook on the back of the restroom door and said, "Okay."

What signs have you received lately?  Have you asked for miracles?

Before there was the hit movie, The Secret; before the Law of Attraction, before Anthony Robbins; yes, even before there was Oprah - there was Emmet Fox (1886-1951)!

Change Your Mind; Change Your Life
Did you really think Anthony Robbins came up with the Seven Day Mental Diet or that the Law of Attraction was new?  Rhonda Byrnes said it right in The Secret: these universal laws have been taught down through the ages.  She had it wrong when she said it was a secret.  There is no secret!  Most of the great spiritual teachings down through the ages have talked about it.  The only problem is that the message kept being warped by the manipulation of humanity until it was almost unrecognizable.  The other problem is that even though the message is there for all of us, all of the time - we only can hear it when we're ready.  Are you ready now to change your life by changing your mind?

Seven Day Mental Diet

Emmet Fox talked about the Seven Day Mental Diet before most of us (yes, me included) were born!  For the next seven days, the free Cosmic Postcard sent out by Enigma Wellness is going to go through the Seven Day Mental Diet as first presented by Emmet Fox with new thoughts and practices from Enigma Wellness.

Again, are you ready now?  If so, sign up for the Cosmic Postcard in the upper right side-bar of this page and starting tomorrow, you'll receive a daily email with the Seven Day Mental Diet

Have you ever felt despair over conflict in a relationship?  Fear of the unknown?  Regret over the past?

The best life coaching I ever received when I felt despair was to "ask for wisdom and a new opportunity to be of service."  That is my request most days.  Yesterday the answer was to spill an entire 12 oz. travel mug of warm tea on myself while I was driving!

I was driving a girlfriend to a cemetery about an hour and a half south of my hometown.  It was a healing journey for my friend to mourn the life of a family member who had died shortly after birth.  The car was heavy with emotion.

Our directions were for the cemetery office, not the cemetery itself.  As I turned the car around for the second time after searching down the wrong street, I reached for my travel mug in the cup holder by the driver's seat.  When I lifted the cup, the top came off.  The entire contents dumped into my lap!  After my initial startled reaction, I thought, "Huh, I wonder why that happened?"

My girlfriend was horrified as I sat there soaked to the skin.  Her inward focus turned on me as she started fussing.  "We have to find you some dry pants before we go to the grave site," she insisted.

The lukewarm tea was quickly turning into ice cold blue jeans so I agreed.  I turned the car around yet another time and headed toward a strip mall that I noticed as we entered the city.  At the strip mall, we cruised through the parking lot looking for a clothing store.  The only option was a thrift store.

Thrift stores have a huge selection of jeans grouped by color. My mission was to find a pair that was relatively close to a 4 petite, which is a hard size to find.  After trying on three different pairs of jeans, I found a pair that fit me perfectly.

My friend met me at the check-out counter.  She had a small wooden rocking horse, a tricycle sculpture, and a candle.  Little did I know how important those items were to her.

When we settled back into the car, my friend turned to me and said, "Months ago after I found this grave site, I began dreaming about placing a rocking horse and tricycle on this baby's grave.  It totally slipped my mind.  I didn't think about it until I saw the rocking horse in the thrift store.  It's the same rocking horse that was in my dream.  If you hadn't spilled that tea in our lap, we wouldn't be here."

I smiled at her and hugged her across the console.

If you're feeling negativity this holiday season, one of the quickest methods out of it is to "ask for wisdom and a new opportunity to serve."  Have you helped someone today?
